Social
Responsibility

At Hawaii Central, our corporate social responsibility program has two main goals. The first is to give back to our community. People participate in a variety of ways, volunteering their time to create a positive impact. Our second aim, equally important, is to give our team members a chance to build stronger relationships, encouraging leadership and growth while sharing camaraderie for a good cause.

Ohana

Helping Our Ohana

Hawaii Central participated in the Hawaii Foodbank Credit Union Coalition’s Annual Food Drive Campaign in October and November. Together, with our members, we donated 500 lbs of non-perishable food and $1,083.58 for the Hawaii Foodbank.

Animals

Helping Our Animals

We chose Oahu SPCA because we wanted to be part of an organization that is focused on rescuing and caring for the animals in the State of Hawaii.

Environment

Helping Our Environment

We chose 808 Clean Ups to help make a meaningful impact close to our main branch. Their vision of not only empowering volunteers to restore our natural environment, but also providing educational and outreach opportunities is an inspiration to our team.

Keiki

Helping Our Keiki Flourish

We chose Friends of Children’s Justice Center to bring awareness to the community about such an important program in Hawaii. They play such a big role in assisting Hawaii keiki and their ohana when its really needed, we wanted to be a part of that.
