Three More Workshops Scheduled with Windward Financial

“It’s unfortunate that oftentimes people live their lives without a plan,” said Herb Hussey, a Financial Planner with Windward Financial and an industry professional of more than 30 years. Herb is a former Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union (FCU) Board Member and is passionate about helping local families plan for and realize their retirement goals. “The most difficult part about this line of work is seeing people run out of time,” continued Herb who has seen people end up in unfortunate circumstances during their retirement years.

Herb has graciously agreed to provide a series of financial planning workshops for members of Hawaii Central FCU. Please join us for the next three workshops, scheduled as follows:

  • How to Build a Cool Retirement Pyramid: August 9; 5 pm
  • Life Insurance with ABR – Accessing Policy Values Prior to Death: September 6; 5pm
  • Medicare Limitations and Travel: October 4, 5pm

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our recent Financial Planning workshop, Save the House for the Kids, with Herb Hussey of Windward Financial. Members received valuable information on how to use a financial product to help them pass their home on to their children. “It doesn’t work in every situation,” said Hussey, who took participants through four scenarios where a financial product could help members reach this goal.

We are pleased to announce our summer schedule of financial workshops with Herb Hussey of Windward Financial as follows:

  • July 5, 5pm: Medicare- Enrollment, Procedure & Penalty
    In addition to touching upon Social Security and COBRA, the different parts of Medicare will be discussed in this session. Register Below!
  • July 12, 5pm: Savings Options – IRAs, Mutual Funds & Annuities with G.L.I.R./Tax Deferred VS. Tax Free
    To help you with making informed decisions, this workshop will cover different options to save for retirement. Register Below!

SAVE THE HOUSE FOR THE KIDS

Hawaii Central FCU announces Save the House for the Kids, a free workshop for members presented by Windward Financial.

The workshop will be held, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 5:00 pm via Zoom. There is also an option to attend in person, but seating is limited to the first 20 respondents who indicate a desire to attend in person. The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

Save the House for the Kids will focus on options for passing on, oftentimes, your most valued asset – regardless of outstanding balances on your mortgage.
