IDCheck for Shared Branching
IDCheck is a secure and reliable way to verify your identity in-branch, keeping your account safe.
Hawaii Central FCU is proud to be a part of the CO-OP Shared Branching network which allows members to perform transactions at other participating credit union. Beginning May 1, 2025, Shared Branching will now require IDCheck, a new security feature designed to offer a more secure way to verify your identity. IDCheck will only be required to verify the identity of individuals using an out-of-state ID.
How it works:
If you use an out-of-state ID to make a transaction at a shared branch location, a representative will have you scan a QR code with your mobile device camera that will launch the IDCheck verification. For example, a Hawaii Central FCU member who has a Hawaii-issued ID will need to verify their identity through IDCheck when performing a withdrawal transaction at a Shared Branch on the mainland.
- Scan the QR code located in the branch with your smart device or visit verify.coop.org
- Select your credit union’s name from the drop-down list
- Enter your member # and the last 4 digits of your social security number
- Upload a photo of your ID and take a selfie. (Tip: Save your validation for an even quicker experience next time!)
- Show your one-time passcode to the teller
With IDCheck, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your identity is protected. To get started, please visit verify.coop.org.
