Real Estate Loan Officer

Primary Responsibilities:
The Real Estate Loan Officer will be responsible for originating and closing mortgage loans, evaluating and verifying loan applications. Providing exceptional customer service and staying current on the mortgage industry trends.

Essential Duties:

  1. Establish and manage partnerships with local real estate offices.
  2. Efficiently completing residential mortgage loan applications and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  3. Guide members through the loan application process from pre-approval to close.
  4. Match members with appropriate products.
  5. Coordinate with processors and underwriters to ensure efficient closings.
  6. Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and market trends.
  7. Knowledge of credit union’s core process system and other related credit union applications.
  8. Ability to price loans and lock interest rate commitments in accordance with loan products.
  9. Communicate effectively and professionally with credit union employees, members, borrowers, regulators, and third-party vendors.
  10. Understand applicable credit union policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years experience in the mortgage industry, sales, HELOC or banking experience.
  2. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance guidelines.
  3. Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. PC knowledge, word processing, email, spreadsheet and other related applications.
  6. Ability to work flexible hours.
  7. Active NMLS required

Teller

Primary Responsibilities:

The Teller II is responsible to accurately process member’s transactions while providing the member with a positive, memorable experience.  The Teller II position is also responsible to open new accounts and effectively profile new and existing members and make appropriate suggestions for products and services (both loans and deposits) to help them meet/exceed their financial objectives.

Essential Duties:

  1. Responsible to ensure positive member experiences at every touch point (in person, over the phone, etc.)  Ensure that new and existing members are provided information concerning the Credit Union, its products, services and policies.  Actively engage members and ensures they are effectively profiled, educated and when appropriate, cross-sold additional products/services (both loans and deposits) to help them meet/exceed their financial objectives.  Able to also actively engage members while opening new accounts and adding additional services to their relationship with the Credit Union.
  2. Maintains a clear understanding of applicable regulations and disclosures, and the Credit Union’s policies and procedures.  Responsible to comply with these rules and regulations as it pertains to the handling of cash and negotiable items and the servicing of member’s accounts.
  3. Processes all transactions in an accurate and efficient manner, keeping cash differences and non-policy losses at a minimum.
  4. Address member’s questions/concerns, including any required research.  Provide members with effective solutions and alternatives in a timely manner, or, as applicable, refer them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
  5. Builds, retains and acquires member relationships to achieve sales and service goals for the branch.  Participates in cross training opportunities to gain additional knowledge.  Actively participates in all branch/Credit Union sales promotions and campaigns, including but not limited to outbound member calls and referrals.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. One year cash handling & customer service experience preferred.
  2. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate to both internal customers and external members.
  3. Must have a basic PC knowledge.
  4. New Accounts experience preferred.

Member Service Representative I

Primary Responsibilities:

Consistently provides an atmosphere of high-quality member service. Confidently supports credit union sales efforts and performs transaction for members regarding all share and loan products and services. Consult with members and provide solutions to match their needs.

Essential Duties:

  1. Promote credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interviews. Maintain current knowledge of all credit union’s services and polices. Maintain knowledge of competitor’s rates, terms, etc., as well as internal trends relation to lending. Counsel members on dividend rates and cross-sell services offered at the credit union.
  2. Accurately and efficiently processes transaction and service requests.
  3. Responsible for accurate handling and maintaining of all cash/negotiable instruments and end-of-day balancing.
  4. Assist members in the completion of Individual Retirement Account and Savings Certificate applications. Open new savings accounts, certificates, assist members with wire transactions, closing accounts, security breaches, deceased accounts, stop payments and account disputes.
  5. Process new account information including ensure compliance with Customer Information Program (CIP), verifying eligibility, ordering checks, issuing/ordering debits cards, assist with set-up of electronic services, ensure collections of appropriate signatures, and assist with other ancillary account products.
  6. Provide loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members.
  7. Process loan application and collect necessary documentation for proper analyzing from Consumer Loan Department. Closing of loans (document signing).
  8. Assist member with information as to the status of pending loans. Explain reasons for denial and explore options for members when loans are denied.
  9. Enforce strict adherence to established security procedures. Assist members with discrepancies and complaints. Make corrections and adjustments on account if necessary.
  10. Knowledge of member services and products as well as applicable policies and procedures.
  11. Knowledge of credit union loan services, policies, and procedures.

Other Duties:

  1. Represent HCFCU in community events, as appropriate
  2. Actively participate in credit union functions.
  3. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. High school degree or equivalent.
  2. One year cash handling & customer service experience preferred.
  3. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate to both internal customers and external members.
  4. Must have a basic PC knowledge.
  5. Strong analytical and financial skills.
  6. Able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 30lbs on occasion. Reasonable accommodation for qualified appliance available.

Real Estate Loan Administrative Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide support and assistance to the Real Estate Loan Staff. 

Essential Duties:

  1. Maintain weekly rate comparison worksheet
  2. Process requests for Release of Mortgages.
  3. Assist the Mortgage Loan Officer with Subordination requests and requests for Construction Loan advances.
  4. Assist the Real Estate staff with loan processing, closing, and funding.
  5. Process Payoff Demands, Account Inquires
  6. Maintain active Member’s Insurance Policies
  7. Audit closed real estate loans.
  8. Assist staff with loan files, sending correspondence, and delivering or picking up documents.
  9. Assist the Real Estate staff with all other Administrative tasks.
  10. Scan and store electronic documents 

Other Duties:

  1. Represent HCFCU in community events, as appropriate.
  2. Actively participate in HCFCU functions.
  3. Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. High school diploma and or 2-4 years’ experience in the financial lending industry.
  2. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  3. PC knowledge, word processing, email, spreadsheet and other related applications.
